Exquisitely designed leading-edge renewable heating solution delivers high performance and a low sound level
Today sees the launch of the latest addition to Daikin's range of Altherma heat pumps: the best-in-class Daikin Altherma 3 H HT. Consumers will appreciate its high performance – even at very low outdoor temperatures –, low sound level and unique design. The “3 H HT” is the quintessential heat pump and will help to speed up the much-needed global transition to renewable heating solutions and a carbon-free society.
Decarbonising homes is today's prime sustainability challenge. Daikin, the world’s leading provider of heating and cooling solutions, is determined to help rise to this challenge through relentless innovation. The company’s newest product, the best-in-class Daikin Altherma 3 H HT air-to-water heat pump should make a major contribution in this context.
The exquisitely designed Daikin Altherma 3 H HT quintessential heat pump delivers high performance and a low sound level that end-users will certainly appreciate. The unit is also an ideal boiler replacement, enabling consumers to retain their existing heating installation and radiators.
Performance and comfort
The performance of the “3 H HT” is outstanding, even at very low outdoor temperatures: indeed, down to -15°C it does not require any additional energy. Previous heat pumps needed a helping hand from the electricity grid at sub-zero temperatures, but this new unit is far more cold-resistant, which generates tremendous energy savings.
The “3 H HT” is also ideal for warmer climates, especially for larger buildings requiring higher heating and cooling capacity and provides the level of comfort consumers have come to expect. Its unique design enables it to blend in perfectly in any home environment and both the outdoor and indoor models are already award-winning products, having bagged the iF DESIGN AWARD and the Red Dot Design Award in 2019.
The Daikin Altherma 3 H HT air-to-water heat pump is also ultra-silent, consistently emitting a sound level of less than 35 dB(A) at a distance of 3 metres. Last, but not least, it is easy to install and very user-friendly. See below for more detailed technical specifications.
In environmental terms, the “3 H HT” will help to accelerate the much-needed transition to renewable heating solutions and a carbon-free society. “The launch of our Daikin Altherma 3 H HT air-to-water heat pump is another step along the way to decarbonising European homes”, says Patrick Crombez, General Manager Heating and Renewables at Daikin. “We see European policymakers preparing to turn their backs on fossil fuels and are very happy to see them pinning their faith on heat pumps.”
Crombez continues: “Heat pumps are not a technology of the future: they're ready to go mainstream right now. So, we, as an industry, must ensure that all stakeholders are on board. We intend to open up conversations with installers who have mostly worked up to now with fossil fuel boilers. Our mission is clear: to install a heat pump in every European home.”
